Kramatorsk Railway Station Attack – Evidence of Russian Terrorism

I am writing this post without emotions, because there are none. Only numbers, only dates, only dry facts. Just documentation of the Kramatorsk Railway Station Attack in the form of a short chronicle.

On April 7, 2022, three trains entered Kramatorsk. Together they were supposed to evacuate 3,000 people from the city. Near Barvinkove, in daylight, Russian forces shelled a bridge with missiles and destroyed it. That bridge was the only way for evacuation.

During the night of April 7–8, workers of Ukrainian Railways repaired the track. Their effort allowed the three trains to depart.

On April 8, 2022, more than 4,000 people gathered at the Kramatorsk railway station. They were waiting for evacuation.

Russian forces launched a Tochka-U missile with cluster munitions at the station.

At 10:28 the missile exploded in the air. Cluster submunitions scattered across the station, railway tracks, and the nearby area.

This type of missile carries 50 cluster elements 9N24. Each one contains 1.45 kg of explosives and metal rings. When detonated, the rings break into 316 fragments weighing 7 grams each, which fly out at high speed.

The terrorist attack killed 61 people and injured 121 more. Thirty-eight people died instantly. Others passed away later in hospitals. Seven of the victims were children.

For Russian propagandists, hell keeps a separate room.

One fact stands out. Russian propagandists published a “news report” about the launch before the missile exploded. A screenshot shows the exact time: 10:25. But the Kramatorsk Railway Station Attack happened at 10:28:

The text of that “report” had no information, since Russian propaganda always repeats only two narratives: “we strike NATO bases in Ukraine” or “Ukrainian forces shell civilians.” But the timestamp itself will serve as yet another proof of war crimes committed by Russian terrorists.
