WordPress 7.0 “Armstrong” has officially arrived, named after the legendary Louis Armstrong. The stable release date slipped several times, but the WordPress core team finally shipped the final version on May 20, 2026. According to Core Trac, developers closed 419 tickets, including more than 300 bug fixes. The Admin UI: Love It or Hate It […]
In September 2025 my WordPress plugins reinstated in the official repository. I rewrote more than half of the code, adapted everything to the current version of WordPress, and rechecked the plugins for vulnerabilities. One important change was dropping support for very old PHP versions (previously the plugins even worked on 5.6). Modern WordPress versions require […]
Another winter of blackouts is coming for Ukraine. In my opinion, we’re much better prepared now than we were in 2023. That’s no surprise — Ukrainians have long adapted to maintain normal life during blackouts. To give you a preview, almost my entire apartment is now equipped with autonomous lighting. Even if the power goes […]
Today I discovered that my plugins on WordPress Repo were closed. This was not due to any vulnerabilities, copyright issues, or violations. The problem came from my email inbox, which stopped working for some time. I use a Ukrainian service for many years — it is convenient and well known to many of my clients. […]

I am writing this post without emotions, because there are none. Only numbers, only dates, only dry facts. Just documentation of the Kramatorsk Railway Station Attack in the form of a short chronicle. On April 7, 2022, three trains entered Kramatorsk. Together they were supposed to evacuate 3,000 people from the city. Near Barvinkove, in […]
What did I write in my previous post? “We’ve somewhat gotten used to the attack”? Forget it. You must remember one short word: Bucha. Or two words: “Bucha massacre.” Bucha is a small town in the Kyiv region. On April 1, Ukrainian forces expelled the last occupier.. Then the usual sequence begins – first sappers […]
After the invasion, it’s hard to say what feels more accurate — “we’ve somewhat recovered from the attack” or “we’ve somewhat gotten used to the attack.” We’ve basically driven the russian scum out of Kyiv region. A few russian saboteurs still run through the tree lines, but they operate in small scattered groups and don’t […]
A little over a month has passed since the massive attack by the Russian horde, and I want to share some impressions. Saying I’m shocked by russian atrocities – doesn’t even begin to cover it. On March 22, Ukrainian forces launched a counteroffensive to drive the Russians out of Kyiv region. Within a week, our […]
We knew this would happen, starting February 20, 2014 – when Russia first attacked Ukraine, sending troops onto Ukrainian territory in Crimea. The question of “will there be a full-scale invasion” involving tanks and aviation, with bombing of civilian cities by air-dropped bombs and ballistic missiles was replaced by “when exactly will it happen.”
