Bucha Massacre and Russian Units Behind War Crimes

What did I write in my previous post? “We’ve somewhat gotten used to the attack”? Forget it. You must remember one short word: Bucha. Or two words: “Bucha massacre.” Bucha is a small town in the Kyiv region. On April 1, Ukrainian forces expelled the last occupier.. Then the usual sequence begins – first sappers inspect everything, then the police…
And then happens the reason why I said “Forget it.”
You’ve probably already heard or seen in the news about the genocide committed by the russians? If you really want to look — Twitter has photos and videos, or in some Telegram channels.
On television news, on YouTube, or on Facebook, you are unlikely to see mutilated bodies or traces of mass killings and rapes – modern media “protects” the psyche of viewers.
On the other hand, the news about the Bucha massacre is now on the front pages of all world media. Strangely, these media outlets talk about Russian crimes but almost never show them, since most photos appear blurred.
Maybe this seems strange only to us (Ukrainians), because we see all the atrocities of the Russians with our own eyes?
Personally, I thought that after a month of defense I had gotten used to Russian brutality… But it turns out they are capable of things one cannot possibly get used to.
Russians executed civilians together with their families.
Moreover, they raped women in groups of four or five.
They crushed cars with tanks, leaving no chance for the people trapped inside.
For weeks, the corpses of executed civilians remained on the streets, and the occupiers even burned some of them.
Russian units guilty of the Bucha massacre are:
- 64th Motor Rifle Brigade
- 74th Motor Rifle Brigade
- 5th Tank Brigade
- 137th Airborne Regiment
- 331st Airborne Regiment
- 31st Air Assault Brigade
- 104th Air Assault Regiment
- 234th Air Assault Regiment
- 14th Spetsnaz Brigade
- 45th Spetsnaz Brigade
- 155th Marine Brigade
- 63rd Special Police Unit (Rosgvardia)
- 141st Special Motorized Regiment
These are the confirmed units of the occupiers responsible for the Bucha massacre. Our police and Armed Forces of Ukraine have been able to establish that it was precisely these units that were present in Bucha during the occupation.
P.S.
At first, I did not understand why Russian soldiers burned the bodies of executed civilians. Later, I learned the truth: they had tortured people, cutting off ears and inflicting other brutal wounds. After the murders, they burned the corpses in order to hide the traces of their crimes.
